Here at Highkind Cannabis Co, we are proud to be the first ones to produce a line of terpene infused CBD products. Bringing their remarkable combined suspected benefits through the “entourage effect” to everyone. All through a wide variety of products to fit everyone’s needs. With the rise in interest about, and the current trend turning towards, vaping and dabbing CBD extracts and concentrates… A few questions come to mind for consumers: What is the difference? What is vaping? What is dabbing? How does it work? And which one is better for you?Even if you may have heard the term, for those of you who don’t know? The type of dabbing we are talking about is NOT the dance your kid got from Fortnite. The kind we are talking about? Is when you apply a concentrated CBD extract to a heated a dab rig to consume your CBD supplement. Not to mention, you can vape other substances besides liquid e-juice which gets you a nic-fix. But, when dealing with cannabis, you’re vaping either a concentrated extract of THC, CBD, or both.In the case of vaping or dabbing Highkind Cannabis Co CBD concentrates? All of our CBD extracts have terpenes infused, so that you get the most out of your CBD supplement choice. But, the biggest difference between vaping and dabbing CBD is going to be the temperature and dosing. And the type of concentrate extract chosen, will determine the temperature you need. We will get into that a bit more later though. To start, what are the different types of CBD concentrates? The Different Types of CBD Concentrates & Their Reported EffectsThere are many types and forms of CBD on the market, and each has its own benefits and uses. The most popular being concentrates, especially when they’re infused with terpenes. Which is when you get the “entourage effect” a broad-spectrum CBD product provides. So what makes CBD concentrates, like a CBD Crumble or CBD Crystal a more sought-after choice? To understand the “why” behind this trend, you need to know the difference between all forms of CBD oils.CBD Concentrates VS Other Forms of CBD OilSimply put, CBD concentrates and extracts are exactly as they sound. Concentrated forms of the cannabinoid compound CBD extracted from the cannabis plant. While CBD oils are extracts as well, they contain more than the CBD compound alone. They are also compromised of other parts of the plant… along with a few other varying ingredients depending on the source. Then you also have the CBD oil products that contain terpene profiles. This includes CBD oil concentrates and extracts. These tend to be more popular than the CBD products that don’t have infused terpenes. For a variety of reasons. But, not every company has terpene infused CBD products. For those of you who are new to this journey, and don’t know what terpenes are… They are a combination of naturally occurring carbon and hydrogen. Which are found in the trichomes (crystals) of the cannabis plant. Although they are not unique to the Cannabis plant. They are responsible for the aromas, and flavours produced in every plant or herb in your kitchen. And there are many terpene profiles out there. Ranging from “sleepy” terpenes like linalool and mycrene. To “hybrid” and “day-time” terpenes such as pinene, humulene, limonene, and carophyllene. That’s just to name a few. So what makes terpene infused CBD products better than the ones without? The answer lies within some studies done by the British Journal of Pharmacology done in 2008 and in 2011. Where they discovered that terpenes have roles and suspected benefits of their own. And may be responsible for the many various differences in each strain of cannabis. Like the varying mental and physical effects from said strains. Which cannot be explained by the THC and CBD compound compositions alone. In those studies, they showed that when terpenes are combined with cannabinoids like CBD… they have the potential of creating the synergistic “entourage effect” in our bodies. Generating a more powerful effect and benefit than just one or the other on their own. But, just what are these suspected benefits and effects from CBD oils and terpenes?Forms of CBD OilsCBD Oral Pastes – As the name states, this style CBD oil product must be taken orally and comes in a syringe. It cannot be dabbed like some of it’s THC counterparts on the market. Our oral pastes include terpene profiles and consist of 40% CBD oils with 0% THC.CBD Oral Oils/Tinctures – Just like with the oral pastes, CBD oils and tinctures must only be taken orally. They cannot be dabbed or vaped – let alone used as an e-juice liquid. Ours contains terpene profiles, 5-10% CBD oil, and 0% THC.Forms of CBD ConcentratesCBD Concentrate products – These forms of CBD concentrates can be vaped or dabbed. Our CBD extracts come in “crumble” form or “crystalline” form. As well as range from 75% – 90% CBD with 0% THC. They are a more broad spectrum type products as they contain terpenes. Only exception being our isolate where you have the option to add terpenes. But, it will depend on the source you get your CBD product from. As not everyone in the market infuses terpenes into their CBD products.CBD Vape Pen Products – This form typically comes in the form of a cartridge that attaches to a battery. Depending on the cartridge chosen, some are even refillable within CBD vape oil. Others need the cartridge to be swapped. It’s a very convenient way to take your CBD supplement as it can be brought and utilised almost anywhere. Our CBD vape pen options include terpene profiles and contain 50-54% CBD distillate with 0% THC.As you can see, CBD concentrates and extracts tend to have a higher level of the CBD compound than CBD vape oils since you don’t need to worry about keeping the extract in a fluid state. Which is why more people are choosing them compared to their counterpart. It would be a given that the suspected mental and physical benefits of CBD would be better in higher forms. At least, that’s the thought process behind it all. But, which way to take the CBD concentrate is better for you? A CBD Oil Vape Pen? Or a CBD Oil Wax used with a dab rig or dab pen?CBD Oil Vape Pen VS Dabbing CBD ConcentratesVaping CBD oil cartridges and taking large CBD dabs – what is the difference? Simply speaking, the key distinction is in the way they are heated… as well as the amount of the CBD compound which can be taken in one dose. Not to mention, most CBD oil vape cartridges, need a special type of extract which remains fluid and doesn’t crystallise. While a cbd concentrate extract doesn’t. The solid concentrate can be placed the dab pen and will melt when heated. Also, the manner in HOW the concentrated CBD oil extract is dabbed is another difference.Using a vape pen with cartridge for the CBD oil can be healthier as you completely avoid the combustion process. They use a heating method with controlled and consistent dosing – keeping the CBD extract in the chamber. When the air around that chamber is heated and reaches a certain temperature – it releases a vapour. Which is in turn inhaled. While a dab rig requires you to heat up what is called a “nail” until hot before placing the CBD wax on the nail’s hot plate. This then releases the vapour to be inhaled and is a conductive heating method.Dabbing the CBD product leaves room for larger doses and can also leave behind a stronger, longer lasting odour and flavour. Whereas vaping the CBD oil leaves a scent for only a few seconds. Not to mention, depending on the dab rig chosen, it’s not that convenient to bring anywhere you would like. Due to most being a glass piece like a bong. While a CBD vape pen or CBD vape mod will look a lot like their nicotine counterparts. Making them more discreet and suitable to bring anywhere. Why is Temperature Important? At certain high temperatures, you stop vapourising and begin combusting. As long as you don’t reach temperatures where combustion begins to release burnt smoke, vaping CBD oil or dabbing a CBD concentrate is much healthier than smoking CBD flower via a joint, pipe or bong.So Which One is Better for You? Vaping cartridges or Dabbing CBD extracts? As you can see, both vaping cartridges and dabbing can be far healthier than other methods and are both great at providing a dose of pure CBD. And both have varying benefits. All depending on the purity, cannabinoid content and terpene profile of the product chosen. Along with your own endocannabinoid make-up.The key if dabbing is making sure you know if the dab pen or dab rig you buy is heated through accurate electrical temperature control or is the type you need to heat with a blow torch. The latter being harder at keeping temperatures below 210°C to avoid combusting the extract into smoke, which often ruins the flavour and scorches the terpenes.Since dabbing devices can be cleaned with Isopropynol and re-used they are also slightly more environmentally friendly and cost-effective.** Please Note: Depending on the manufacturer/supplier, of any CBD Product, the CBD and THC percentage levels may vary. All Highkind Cannabis Co CBD products contain 0% THC and are infused with cannabis-derived, and cannabis-inspired, terpene profiles – featuring the same flavours and scents of your favourite cannabis strains. Or they contain the option to at the very least in cases of our CBD isolate products.
